February 5, 2017: The Yellow Brick Road & the Mystery Character

FOLLOW THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD PART 2

So we are on the Yellow Brick Road of CHRIST. Just like when Jesus was revealing himself to the two men on the road to Emmaus, we are tracing the Pathway of Christ through various highlights of the given testimonies. If you’ve stumbled upon this episode, we encourage to listen to the first episode where we start with seeing Christ in the first testament, Follow the Yellow Brick Road (The One Story).

This week we are continuing on our journey, but remember there’s also a hidden character throughout the One Story. See if you can discover who it is??

Now let’s continue following the Yellow Brick Road and cross the bridge over into that glorious city.

THE MYSTERY CHARACTER

Did you see the hidden character throughout all the stories?

  • She was there even before the beginning
  • She was there in the Garden
  • She was with Jacob – the ladder and the stone
  • She was there in Egypt and the Wilderness
  • She was there in Babylon
  • She was there inside and with Jesus the whole time!

CHRIST AND THE CHURCH – THEY ARE ONE

“And confessedly, great is the mystery of godliness: He who was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the nations, Believed on in the world, Taken up in glory.” 1 Timothy 3:16

“…because we are members of his body. For this cause, shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh. This mystery is great: I speak in regard of Christ and of the church.” Ephesians 5:30-32

“I in them… and you in ME.” John 17:23

Listen to the song: Kind of My Own Kind

The Church is revealed in the New Testament as constituted for the maintenance in this world of a witness to the living presence of the Lord, the Christ of God – to be the embodiment of Him. Nothing less than that, nothing other than that, justifies the continuation of a thing which goes by the name of the Church. T. Austin Sparks
